You live your optimum life when your mind and body are balanced and healthy. That's why Traditional Acupuncturists like myself take an holistic approach. When a patient comes for their first appointment with me I take a thorough consultation to find out the nature of their current complaint as well as past medical history. I will also look at the tongue and observe the pulse so that I will be able to get an understanding of the interior of the body and tailor an individual acupuncture treatment plan unique to each patient.
My goal is to provide therapy or complementary care in line with each individual patient‘s needs and expectations. Some have a simple pain or condition that is helped with a short course of treatments while others have more complex conditions that may require a longer commitment to bring them to optimum health. Many patients however feel the benefit of regular acupuncture and continue with their treatments on a weekly or monthly basis as a preventative measure and enjoy the relaxation and de-stress at each treatment.
Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years and is now becoming more recognised as an effective treatment for many conditions or as a complementary therapy alongside western medicine.
Acupuncture encourages your body to unblock the flow of Qi (energy). When this flow is hindered it will lead to illness manifesting in different ways such as pain, digestive issues and headaches for example.
Acupoints are chosen after a thorough consultation and a treatment plan unique to each patient will help the body rebalance.
As a patient of Tianchi Acupuncture I care about your overall well being, both mentally and physically and will provide you with treatments and advice best suited to your needs. Let Tianchi Acupuncture help you achieve optimal wellness!
I have over 20 years experience in the health industry and I am passionate about helping people gain optimum health to improve the quality of their lives.
I started out as a sport therapist and personal trainer and helped many people overcome injury and pain but wanted to help them more so I studied acupuncture! After getting my degree in traditional Chinese Acupuncture I travelled to china where I studied to increase my knowledge before opening my practice.
I had the opportunity to work at a hospice for a few years treating end of life patients and their families through a difficult time and found this immensely rewarding. I currently work with World Medicine charity alongside my practice in Aylesbury, travelling in the UK and abroad to provide acupuncture where there is limited access to healthcare provision. If you are interested in contributing to this charity keep a look out for my posts on fund raising events or contact me to find out more.
I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and undertake all continuous professional development requirements.
Our bodies are quite adept at repairing themselves. I use methods that aid that natural ability with modalities like acupuncture, physical manipulations, heat lamp therapy, myofascial release and cupping.
